Katlyn has been pet sitting for us for years, and we've always loved her for the love and care she provides our boys. For us even being able to vacation, thanks to the peace we get knowing she cares for our boys the way we would. BUT the love for her has only gotten stronger. When I tell you, this girl was my (our) rock when it came to one of our hardest days. I mean, she really went above & beyond the thinkable.
To keep it short, I wasn’t comfortable with the original plan for Duke. She came to the house to visit him during his last week & could feel the concern I had. Immediately went out of her way to get him an appointment at her clinic (North Madison Animal Hospital) for the very next day when Duke was set to transition. I truly believe this right here is what changed the whole experience for us. I’m talking we showed up to his appointment, and she had him fries for his last meal. Not just any fries. I’m talking McDonald’s fries, that he SMASHED!
She loved this boy just as much as we do. She walked us through the process, gave us our time, and held our boy with us in his last moments. She even held me. She really had the perfect amount of the support I needed at the time while still letting us have the moment. It was a silent drive home, but when we decided to talk, we both agreed that words couldn’t express how thankful we are for Katlyn and her amazing heart. Her love for these pets that she tends to daily is just unmatched. If your babies are cared for by her, you know exactly what I mean.
